I religiously buy and read POP magazine. I first came across it when browsing through the Transit News Stand in Hong Kong and have been addicted ever since. I even went as far as to order all the back issues. Yep, it's a problem.
I love POP's attitude and bravery, which leaps out of spreads like ‘Size Hero' (Issue 16, Autumn) featuring Beth Ditto in all her glory, photographed by Steven Klein.

The name is a result of a newspaper headline: 'Horse Meat Discovered In Salami'. Yep, it's sus and very fitting. Horse Meat Disco is a weekly underground party all the way from the UK. The parties are known to attract trannies, hookers, leather clad men and the occasional hetero looking for disco and excitement.

SixThousand is a subcultural guide to Perth, published daily and fired by email weekly. It is compiled by an amorphous gaggle of Perth writers, stylists, designers and photographers who all like huddling under that big umbrella we like to call creativity. Without editorial independence SixThousand has nothing. All editorial you read is featured because it's worth it - not because it's paid for.
